IPYA is an AI embedded solution based only on video cameras that helps to secure the road traffic participant. The main object of this product is to increase the security of the traffic participant up to 99% including not only pedestrian detection but also pedestrian action recognition and prediction of its action and estimation of time to cross for each pedestrian.

Overview

IPYA is an AI embedded solution based on deep learning techniques that helps to reduce and/or prevent various critical situations like traffic collisions and life-threatening injuries. It solves the problem of developing a multi-task pedestrian protection system that including, detection, action-unit classification, prediction and finally risk estimation.

  • Detection

    The technology detects the traffic road object and makes a clear distinction between them.

  • Action Recognition

    The technology classifies different pedestrian actions, which are divided into 5 main groups:

    1) the pedestrian is preparing to cross the street

    2) the pedestrian is crossing the street

    3) the pedestrian is about to cross the street

    4) the pedestrian's intention is ambiguous

    5) the pedestrian's intention is irrelevant

  • Prediction

    The technology predicts the pedestrian's action up to 5 seconds ahead. It can also estimate the time to cross for each pedestrian

  • Decision

    The technology estimates the pedestrian risk assessment and performs accordingly: advertising the driver or activating the auto-braking component.

I Predict Your Action

IPYA is a startup created in 2020 in parteneriat with Inria. Its aim is to improve and ensure the pedestrian's safety in all surrounding environments.

We develop solutions to predict pedestrian behaviour for automotive applications and others sceneries according to the target application.
